La Maison Picassiette

An extraordinary example of naïve art.

Raymond Isidore, who worked as a road-mender, then a cemetery attendant in Chartres, built his house in 1930. Eight years later, he began decorating it with mosaics made from tiny pieces of broken glass, crockery and porcelain he found where he worked.
